Focus Gear Generator

What it does

• Gear ring with standard module 0.8 (the follow-focus standard) or any custom module
• Inner diameter matched to your lens, with a clamping slit or as a closed ring
• Width, wall thickness and chamfer are parametric — the result is a clean solid body ready to print

How to use it

1. Create a new sketch and draw a circle — it sets the inner diameter of the gear ring (your lens diameter)
2. Finish the sketch and select the circle
3. Run the plugin: Solid → Create → Focus Gear Generator — the gear ring is built around the selected circle

Installation

macOS

1. Quit Fusion 360
2. Unzip and copy FocusGearGenerator.bundle to
   ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins/
3. Start Fusion 360 — the plugin appears under Solid → Create → Focus Gear Generator

Windows

1. Quit Fusion 360
2. Unzip and copy FocusGearGenerator.bundle to
   %APPDATA%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\
3. Start Fusion 360 — the plugin appears under Solid → Create → Focus Gear Generator
