Focus Gear Generator
Description
This is an add-in for Autodesk® Fusion®. Selecting multiple pitch circles, it places spur gears at the location of those pitch circles. It also automatically meshes the spur gears together.
- Pitch circles in a meshing relationship cause the spur gears to be rotated and positioned at an angle of meshing.
- Whenever there is a combination of pitch circles touching each other, multiple combinations can be converted to spur gears in a single operation.
- The sketch plane for drawing pitch circles is not limited to the XY plane. Pitch circles drawn on any plane can be converted.
- Each spur gear is created as a separate component. Therefore, it is possible to set up motion links between spur gears.
- Gear trains can create external gears only.
Trial Description
The trial version supports only two outer gears.
General Usage Instructions
Follow the steps below to use the add-ins.
- You draw multiple circles on the sketch so that the pitch circles are adjacent to each other.
- You execute the add-in "Multi spur gear".
- You select multiple pitch circles in an order that takes into account the meshing relationship.
- You set various parameters of the spur gear.
- You execute the add-in "Multi spur gear".
Explanatory note:
- The consideration of the meshing relationship of the later selected pitch circle is taken into account when the center-to-center distance meshes with the previously selected pitch circle.
- Multiple pitch circles with independent meshing relationships can be selected together.
- Depending on the sketch plane, the meshing relationship may not be handled properly. Please be aware of this.

Installation/Uninstallation
Install:
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. Or, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.
Uninstall:
You can unload the add-in without uninstalling it by clicking the "Stop" button when the add-in is selected in the list box on the "Add-Ins" tab of the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog.
Unchecking "Run on Startup" causes the add-in not to be loaded in future sessions of the Fusion.
To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button.
Or, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel/Programs and Features' (Windows 10/11), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
1.Download the installer from Autodesk App Store.
2.Right-click on the "Downloads" folder and select "Open in Finder".
3.Right-click on the "Multispurgear_trial_macos.pkg" -> "Open With" -> "Installer".
Uninstall for Mac:

- Navigate to the ./ApplicationsPlugins folder and select the app bundle you want to uninstall
- Either drag the app bundle to the Trash or right-click and select “Move to Trash”
- Right-click on the Trash-Can and select “Empty Trash”
- If you prefer keystrokes, you can also just select the app bundle and then hit Command+Delete to move the app to Trash, then empty the Trash and the app will be removed.
Additional Information
Known Issues
Depending on the sketch plane, the meshing relationship may not be handled properly. Please be aware of this.
